E-Commerce Manager

We’re looking for an experienced and energetic e-commerce manager to really drive our online presence and conversions. Flexible location: ideally at one of our Webmart Yellow Sheds but, for the right person, we're open to the idea of home working too.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring our website and other online marketplaces are working as effectively as they possibly can and that all our structures and processes are bang up to date and working to the latest best practice.

Your goal will be to help maximise online conversions and revenue while ensuring our on-line catalogues are up to date, accurate and providing the best possible information and user-experience.

You’ll also be involved in broader marketing activities as well as updating the existing website and creating/delivering social media campaigns to maximise marketplace exposure and drive orders into the business. This includes working strategically with senior management and reporting directly into them.

Skills/experience:

The successful person will have management, e-commerce and marketing skills/experience. Plus demonstrate:

  • The ability to coordinate and/or maintain and update websites (via a CMS)
  • A proven record of marketing both online and offline
  • Effective use of social media and email
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to drive team work
  • Proficient in using relevant software - including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Able to start within the next 4-6 weeks

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day to day running of our websites and marketplaces - including updating and maintaining listings/banners/promotions etc.
  • Promoting and marketing our e-commerce offering
  • Website improvements - new features, improved UI (as part of a project to deal with this with an appointed partner)
  • Maintaining our customer portal (images, rich data, selling prices, product descriptions etc.)
  • Planning and updating pricing/product data structures across product types, including analysis of price lists and comparison of competitor offerings
  • Maintaining product and price database, ensuring feeds to relevant partners/affiliates are up to date
  • Involvement with devising, implementing and managing the company’s marketing strategy for Google AdWords, PPC, affiliate marketing, SEO, social media, marketplaces, blog writing and other broader marketing tasks as needed
  • Supplier liaison on prices, offers, data updates
