The Challenge

Utopia bathrooms are the UK market leader in complete bathroom solutions, delivering more fitted bathrooms than any other UK manufacturer.

Their bathrooms are designed and manufactured in the UK and distributed through bathroom retailers across the country. Which means their range of printed bathroom brochures and catalogues are immensely important to their sales; as well as the sales of their retail partners.

Utopia had been with their existing supplier for over 20 years. But when they had problems with their last two brochures it was time to look elsewhere.

Switching print suppliers can be a nerve wracking process. Thankfully, the team at Webmart make it easy.


How We Achieved It

After preliminary ‘getting to know you’ meetings, Utopia tried us out on several smaller projects - leaflets, compliment slips, pull-up showroom banners - to better understand how we’d work together and gain confidence that we’d meet their quality and production targets.

These early projects were a huge success with the team at Webmart proving proactive and great to work with. So when the time came to produce their main product catalogue, Utopia had the confidence we’d deliver.

Utopia had also been wanting to improve the look, feel and impact of their printed materials for some time, but hadn’t been provided with many options by their old supplier. Because Webmart works with a wide range of ‘best fit’ suppliers, we were able to help Utopia introduce product innovations which would massively improve shelf impact and perceived brand value.


The Results

Utopia now have a catalogue they’re immensely proud of. To make it stand out on the shelf and improve brand perception, it uses soft-touch laminate and foil blocking on the cover, with the overall weight and production values giving the catalogue the look, feel and perception of a true premium quality brand.

During production, the marketing team at Utopia were taken for a confidence-boosting site visit to our chosen printer; and throughout production, regular ‘running sheets’ were provided so they could monitor print colour and quality in almost real time.

And even though Utopia needed to pull in the project delivery dates as well as increase the quantity from 500 to 5000, Webmart delivered a superb quality catalogue, on time and to budget.

Webmart and Utopia have been working together for over a year now and, together, we’re exploring more innovative ways to improve brand perception and shelf standout, as well as reducing cost and risk by using a variety of best-fit suppliers.
